Delegates at Aslef's annual conference have rejected an attempt by their sacked leader and his deputy to win their jobs back.

Shaun Brady, the former general secretary, and Mick Blackburn, the former deputy general secretary, were dismissed after a fight at a barbecue at the union's headquarters in London.
