Civil service concerns delay corporate killing legislation
The government's plans to bring company directors to account for corporate manslaughter have been delayed because of Whitehall concerns that the proposals have serious ramifications for civil servants.
Senior mandarins are still arguing over the fine print because they fear it would be too easy to prosecute civil servants under the proposed law.
