Blair set for third term, says insider

A former Downing Street adviser has claimed Tony Blair has got a "second wind" as prime minister.

Derek Scott, who was Blair's economic adviser for 10 years, said he would be surprised if his former boss stepped down early.

Interviewed on the Jonathan Dimbleby programme on ITV, Scott said Blair's relationship with Gordon Brown had been "very bad", but it had also worked well on occasion.
