DTI targets biotech funding
Ministers are to investigate the cash shortfall facing biotechnology companies in Britain.
The Department of Trade and Industry has appointed Paul Myners, the chairman of Marks and Spencer, to head a study group that will look at the rules governing pre-emption rights - according to which companies must go to their existing shareholders first when raising new funds.
