Honour revoked over treatment of gypsies
A pensioner and champion of the Gypsy community is to hand back her MBE in protest at the prime minister's lack of support for travellers.
Kit Sampson, who was honoured in 1990 for her work in providing healthcare for travellers, said Tony Blair had given her a personal promise that he would treat the group "compassionately".
She now complains that "this government is exactly the same as the last one".
