Fox under fire
Liam Fox is the subject of critical comment in the Telegraph.
The Conservative co-chairman, who is coming under pressure over the party's failure to make an electoral impact, is also said to be facing mounting shadow Cabinet criticism over his plan to buy American software costing up to £500,000 that will allow the Tories to track swing voters in every constituency ahead of the general election.
"It's a waste of money on a pointless system, all to suck up to the Republicans. We don't have the people on the ground to make it work and Liam still hasn't produced a message for us to deliver," one MP said.
