A bandanna wearing Silvio Berlusconi greeted the Blairs as they arrived at his sprawling villa for the latest stage of their summer holiday yesterday.

The Italian prime minister is hosting the Blair family for one night at his estate in Sardinia, before they return to Tuscany.
