Ministers back child-safe drugs

The government is acting to make medicines for children safer.

One proposal ministers are considering is to waive licence fees for companies who add safety data relating to children to drug information.

Meanwhile health minister Rosie Winterton will today announce an overhaul of the prescription rules, which could see the creation of internet and mail order pharmacies.
