The mother of a British soldier killed in Iraq wants to sue the Ministry of Defence over her son’s death.

Gordon Gentle, 19, died in a roadside bomb explosion in Basra in June.

Mrs Gentle, from Glasgow, believes that her son’s death could have been avoided if his patrol had been equipped with an electronic signal-jamming device that would have stopped the bomb being detonated.
