Grumble line for railways ridiculed

A new national rail customers' complaints line, to be run by an Andrew Grumble, has been criticised as a waste of taxpayers' money.

The Rail Passengers Council will receive £700,000 per year to run the scheme.

Tory transport spokesman Damian Green said: "This is a pretty strange priority to have at this stage of the railways' development."
