MPs are concerned about plans to publish their expense claims over the last three years, reports the Guardian.

The disclosures are to be made under the Freedom of Information Act.

"This is going to be meat and drink to local and regional newspapers," one MP told the paper.

"We are going to end up with league tables. It is the last thing we will need months before a general election."
