Kilroy-Silk takes UKIP campaign to heart of Europe
UKIP MEP Robert Kilroy-Silk has made his maiden speech in the European parliament.
He had just 90 seconds to speak and vowed to "get back our country".
He condemned the new EU constitution as being based on "obsolete economic and political theories of the 1950s".
New EU Commission president Jose Manuel Barroso "laughed openly" during the speech, according to the Times.
