A report from the National Audit Office is today expected to criticise the Home Office for its failure to act on apparently fraudulent visa applications in Romania and Bulgaria.

Meanwhile, immigration minister Des Browne has said there has been no "flood" of immigrants from eastern Europe since the EU's enlargement on May 1.
