The Cabinet Office has terminated an £83 million outsourcing contract with ITnet, the former in-house IT department of Cadbury Schweppes.

A spokesman said: "None of the services under the remit of ITnet's contract have either been delivered or accepted and the project is several months behind schedule and was forecast to be considerably over budget if continued."
