Blair appeals to Muslim voters
Tony Blair has appealed to Muslim voters not to abandon the Labour Party because of his government's policy on Iraq.
In a letter to thousands of households, the prime minister wrote that "the interests of Muslims [are] best served by a Labour government".
The move comes amid Labour fears that the previously loyal Muslim vote could abandon the party, contributing to electoral defeat on Thursday.
