Britain to lift arms embargo on China
Tony Blair is preparing to end the embargo on selling arms to China, according to the Times.
The restrictionswere imposed 15 years ago after the Tiananmen Square massacre.
Backed by France and Germany, the decision is expected to meet with fierce resistance in Washington, where secretary of state Colin Powell has said that any European country lifting the ban would be denied access to US military technology.
