Road campaigners are calling on MPs to support a ten-minute rule bill which would move the clocks forward permanently by one hour.

According to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, the move would prevent more than 450 deaths and serious injuries on the roads each year.

The legislation is being tabled today by Labour MP Nigel Beard.
