IDS urges Tories to target deprivation
Iain Duncan Smith has said the Conservatives should put social justice and helping the vulnerable at the heart of their policies.
Speaking at the launch of his new think tank, the Centre for Social Justice, which he will chair, he said: "Conservative policies have to work for Britain's poorest communities and every policy must be measured by that standard."
He added: "Voters want a political party to be good for them and good for their neighbour. They want a Conservative Party that makes their nation stronger and brings them together."
