Iraq's national football squad thrashed a team of British parliamentarians 11 - 0 yesterday.

The Iraqis were invited to play a series of friendlies in Britain by Truce International, a charity backed by Sven Göran Eriksson and his partner, Nancy Dell'Olio.

The Times says that Labour whip Jim Murphy was the Commons' man of the match.
