Talks are being held at ITV about a possible return for the satirical puppet show Spitting Image.

The show ended in 1996 after 12 years, but at its peak attracted up to 15 million viewers.

"You've got Michael Howard running the Tories. And Geoff Hoon - oh, what joy," said creator John Lloyd when asked about the reasons for a comeback.
