Ministers issue obesity warning to food companies
Food manufacturers may have to warn consumers of high levels of fats, salt and sugar in their products, the government said yesterday.
At an "obesity summit" in London, ministers met food industry and business officials and health professionals to discuss ways to improve public health, to be set out in a White Paper shortly.
Companies were urged to provide gym equipment and showers at work to encourage staff to take more exercise.
