BBC to tighten live news rules
The BBC's rules on live interviews relating to controversial news stories need to be tightened, the corporation’s governors will be told.
An external inquiry, to report next month on lessons to be learnt from the David Kelly affair, will highlight that the row between the BBC and the government was sparked by a single unscripted broadcast
The FT says that that BBC is also considering appointing a director of complaints.
