The Home Office has launched a drive to develop a new sense of British pride.

"We need to ensure that all citizens feel a sense of pride in being British and a sense of belonging to this country and to each other, and to ensure that our national symbols, like the union jack, and the flags of the four nations, are not the tools of extremists, but visibly demonstrate our unity," says the new consultation paper, entitled "Strength in Diversity".
