Norris's secret plans to influence police revealed
Steve Norris has secret plans to sideline the Capital's police chief if he becomes London mayor and will seek "enthusiastic supporters" among local commanders, reports the Times.
He would replace the Metropolitan Police Authority chairman with a Conservative under instructions to "influence" the appointment of police chiefs.
The steps are outlined in a confidential document setting out plans for his first 100 days written by his chief aide Mark MacGregor.
