Brown to boost trade links with US
Closer transatlantic trade links could support one million jobs, Gordon Brown says today.
"Better trade relations could generate as much as £70 billion and a million jobs," the chancellor and US Treasury secretary John Snow write in a joint article for the Wall Street Journal Europe.
"Our aim is to create a culture of enterprise where what matters is not where you come from but what you aspire to."
The pair will host a New York summit aimed at creating more entrepreneurs. Virgin tycoon Sir Richard Branson will be among speakers.
