Food manufacturers will today be warned that they could be made to display health warnings or face an advertising ban.

The food industry will tell ministers at a Department of Health "fat summit" in London that lack of exercise is more responsible for rising rates of obesity.

Ministers will publish two documents at today’s meeting, setting out a range of options on how to improve diet and levels of exercise.
