Employers in new offer to firemen
Fire service employers have offered union leaders a compromise deal on nightshift working in an attempt to prevent another national strike.
The employers want to resolve the stalemate before June 15, when the Fire Brigades Union reconvenes its annual conference to propose a strike ballot.
