Howard vows to protect press freedom
A future Conservative government would protect the freedom of the press, Michael Howard has clamed.
Speaking at the London Press Club awards, the Conservative leader promised to challenge any attempt by the courts to introduce a privacy law.
He also pledged to reverse any back-door privacy law that resulted from Labour legislation.
