Labour's slogan for the forthcoming elections has echoes of that used by John Major seven years ago, reports the Times.

The former Conservative premier adopted the slogan, "Britain is booming. Don't let Labour blow it".

The new Labour version reads: "Britain is doing well. Don't let the Tories wreck it again."
