The daughter of Peter Robinson, the deputy leader of the Democratic Unionist Party, opened a letter bomb at her father's East Belfast constituency office yesterday.

The device failed to explode and was later defused by experts, along with a similar device sent to the headquarters of the Northern Ireland Policing Board.
