In an interview with the Independent today, RMT general secretary Bob Crow insists that his members will vote in favour of strike action which, he says, will cause "maximum disruption" next month.

"I'm not one of those union officials who continually say they regret the inconvenience caused by industrial action," he said.

"People would say I was crying crocodile tears. Our job is to represent working people."
