A report by media regulator Ofcom has suggested that the BBC's license fee revenue could be shared with rival broadcasters to fund public service broadcasting.

Published yesterday, the wide-ranging report suggested that in the digital world, "a single monopoly supplier of public service broadcasting is unlikely to be effective".
