Channel 4 chief uninterested in BBC top job
Channel 4 chief executive Mark Thompson has ruled himself out of the race to succeed Greg Dyke as director general of the BBC.
Frontrunners are now said to be acting director general Mark Byford, BBC director of television Jana Bennett, BBC director of radio and music Jenny Abramsky and Dawn Airey, managing director of Sky Networks.
