Consignia faces German rival

Deutsche Post, a company partly owned by the German government, has been awarded a one-year licence to deliver bulk mail.

Under the terms, Deutsche Post will be able to deliver 40 million items during the life of the licence, less than half the amount delivered by Consignia every day.
