Tories step up pressure over spin inquiry
David Davis yesterday said Tony Blair was unfit to oversee Whitehall's ministerial code after proving himself "untrustworthy" in overseeing the work of Alastair Campbell.
His comments followed the disclosure that Number 10 is refusing to allow key figures to give evidence to the Committee on Standards in Public Life, which is investigating the role of special advisers.
