Wembley's final whistle?

City insiders are expressing doubts that the Wembley stadium project will be able to raise £300 million by the deadline of April 30.

Barclays, the bank behind a syndicate to get a new national stadium built, believes it can raise the cash but time is running out.

The government has warned that the stadium will be offered to Birmingham if finance is not raised by the deadline.
