Ten year transport plan under fire
Less than a year into the government's 10 year transport plan, targets for roads, rail and buses are under threat, transport leaders have warned.
The government transport adviser David Begg has said plans to reduce road congestion by six per cent are unlikely to be met.
The bus industry has expressed concern at falling passenger numbers outside London, while the Confederation of Passenger Transport said the target of 25 new light rail schemes was also unlikely to be met.
