Lansley returns money

A report by the Electoral Commission released yesterday found that the Conservative Party received the largest amount in donations during the last quarter of 2001.

However, Conservative MP for South Cambridgeshire, Andrew Lansley, had to return a donation of £10,000 from a constituent after it was deemed impermissible, while the UK Independence Party also had to return £25,000 to Sir Jack Hayward.
