Today's front pages report that Gordon and Sarah Brown's baby daughter, Jennifer, has been baptised in hospital after becoming seriously ill following a brain haemorrhage.

A spokesman for the chancellor yesterday said his daughter's condition had deteriorated over weekend.

"Sadly, Jennifer's condition following her brain haemorrhage has deteriorated over the last 24 hours. Gordon and Sarah are with her and are grateful for the support and good wishes they are receiving at a difficult time," said the spokesman.
