Manufacturers to receive £20m government cash injection
The government is set to divert an extra £20 million into the manufacturing sector after criticism from business leaders and unions that it is failing to address the problems in the sector.
Trade and industry secretary Patricia Hewitt said the cash was "the direct result" of recommendations from the TUC and the CBI and would be used "to spread best practice and partnership in companies".
