Martin McGuinness planned to launch blast bomb attacks in Derry on Bloody Sunday, it has been claimed. It is said that he called off the operation after seeing the scale of the military presence in the build-up to the killing of 13 unarmed civilians by British soldiers on January 30, 1972.
