Morris defends religious schools

Estelle Morris is defending the government's policy to allow more religious schools to be built if parents want them but will warn that Christian, Jewish or Islamic education must be "inclusive".

The education secretary will address the Church of England's General Synod today.

The synod is set to reform the appointment of bishops to remove the role of Downing Street and the Queen.
