Sinn Fein leadership meets Blair
Sinn Fein chiefs met with Tony Blair yesterday but failed to extract any new commitment which could avert the collapse of the power-sharing bodies should David Trimble act on his commitment to walk away from the executive in protest at the IRA's failure to disarm.
Gerry Adams told the prime minister that the entire peace process could disintegrate if Trimble saw through his threat.
