The construction industry is warning today that the government's £19 billion investment programme for new and improved schools and hospitals lacks clear targets and the means by which to be monitored.

The Construction Products Association is calling for the government to publish clear and accurate statistics following evidence that the infrastructural investment programme is not actually resulting in any new business for its members.
