While the number of foreign visitors to the capital has slumped by about 14 per cent this summer, the sales of tickets to tour the Houses of Parliament have more than doubled, it was revealed yesterday. By the end of the summer recess, more than 80,000 people will have paid £3.50 each to take a tour which includes the Commons and Lords chambers and Westminster Hall.
