Controversy over foot and mouth continues this week after it was claimed that Whitehall delays "doubled" the number of cases of the disease.

In a separate move the government has been accused of "hiding" 50 new foot and mouth cases over the last month.

However, ministers are reported to have been given the "all clear" to take overseas holidays.
