Blunkett does not rule out Lawrence prosecution

The Mail interviews home secretary, David Blunkett, and he reveals that he will announce the Parole Board decision on the Bulger killers and told Mary Riddell, "my wish is that release should not mean that they simply move out into the community".

Following controversial proposals for a retrospective abolition of "double jeopardy" for murder cases, Blunkett did not rule out the prosecution of men some suspect to be the killers of Stephen Lawrence.

"I am not denying it," he said.
