Family doctors are being put under "intolerable" pressure which is leading to patients being put at risk, the BMA warned yesterday.

The GPs also said that some patients were waiting up to six years "in pain" for surgery, saying that the longest waiting lists in Europe were being endured by patients in Cardiff.
