Tony Blair will overhaul Downing Street to ensure that Gordon Brown does not reign supreme.

The prime minister's close friend Anji Hunter is set to leave for the private sector, with Sally Morgan retaining her post as political secretary.

The Mail also reports that the prime minister will "send a message" to Gordon Brown by setting out his own vision of economic policy which will include allowing private companies to run state services.
