Republican leader and Sinn Fein education minister, Martin McGuinness has attacked Northern Ireland secretary, John Reid, accusing him of dishonesty, demanding an IRA surrender and putting the Good Friday Agreement in jeopardy.

McGuinness accused Reid, the first Roman Catholic to hold the post, of moving "significantly closer" to the unionists and away from the pro-agreement emphasis of his predecessor, Peter Mandelson.
